Murdakkh "Character is Everything"

Murdakkh

Murdakkh is by far one of New Jersey’s top artists. His clarity on the microphone has set him apart from his fellow artist. Murdakkh was raised in America but his roots go back to Belize Central America. He learned from young that lyrics alone were not the answer. He has set out to be the main producer on his up and coming album “The warm up”. With an appetite for music Murdakkh is preparing for his six course meal. Right now he is gearing up for his month tour in June of this summer in the state of California. The tour is called “Who’s next to blow”. With all the excitement buzzing around the artist of course the press would find his story intriguing. In the start of this year he has been the talk of not only his fans, fellow artist but also London own Niji Magazine. They will be covering Murdakkh’s daily movements while on tour to bring light to the actual life of an independent artist on tour. With his album “The warm up” coming in the later part of the summer, fans and Murdakkh him self is excited to see the end result.

Murdakkh for the last two years has been working with Aireal Apparel a Virginia based clothing line company. He met the owner J.R Bautista online via face book. Murdakkh was working on the visual part of his album and was excited about the products Aireal Apparel has put out. Aireal Apparel invited Murdakkh out in the summer of 2010 to the Asia American Basketball Association (AABL) to perform. Since the then Murdakkh and Aireal Apparel relationship has grown to where the clothing line company has offered to be the artist Sponsor for his tour. With that said Murdakkh’s decided to create his first single around the concept of one of Aireal Apparel biggest selling products, the fly or die T-shirt. The Fly or die single will have a 12 week national radio campaign thru PF and Associates. With the single receiving national airplay we know “The warm up” album will definitely have a successful 1st week sale.

E.H.M.P: It's my pleasure to interview artist Murdakkh. How you and what are do your represent as an artist/producer?

Murdakkh: I am doing pretty good thanks for asking. I am a hip hop artist
from Jersey.

E.H.M.P: Tell us more about the album "The Warm Up" and your strategy for the success of this project?

Murdakkh: The warm up is my first real big release on my new label Vicious
Production. When we went into recording the project the main focus
was getting some collaboration in with fellow artist in my area. The Warm up
has about 5 to 6 features with artist like Le Doubleny, Luey P, Newton, Bumpy 103rd, we just went in and recorded 20 songs and took the best 10. I just wanted to be as free as possible in the creation of this project. I think you guys might like some of the skits.

E.H.M.P: How did it come about your performing in the "Who's next to Blow Tour" going on in California? What are your expectations on how you will be received?

Murdakkh: Actually the tour was quite bit of a disappointment. Not only did we
not get out there but I had a big issue with the management of the tour. PF and associates I felt were not prepared for what they were asking from the artist. The company still owes me money for a plane ticket that was never resolved. So with that said Fuck PF and
associates.

E.H.M.P: How did you connect with London's own Niji Magazine? How has that connection impacted your movement thus far?

Murdakkh: It was the winter of 2010 when I had a awesome opportunity to meet
the editor Mr Michael Cox. He flew out from London to vacation in NY
and I had the pleasure to sit down with him for an interview. We have
kept in touch and have built our relation ship via twitter and face book. The connection has helped me so much. I will be flying out there to Camden; London for a show on May 19th 2012, hosted by NIJIMAGAZINE. I have been able to access more artists that are performing and touring because of my relationship with NIJI.

E.H.M.P: You have surely been blessed. Tell us what we can expect from your affiliation with Aireal Apparel Clothing Line, and the idea to incorporate "The Fly or Die" T Shirt with your single "The Fly or Die"?

Murdakkh: Well Aireal and I and have a lot of things working down the pipeline
that we want to put in place. Def, we are going to plan a fashion show for late 2012 to spring 2013. I also will be doing a “Aireal Mix tape” called Fly or Die over the course of this year, with artist that I know and few on the rise thru out the states. I was trying to
bridge the gap between designers and performing artist.

E.H.M.P: How did you become affiliated with A.D. The General and what are your views on the services the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program Provides for artist to date?

Murdakkh: I have known A.D. for about 3 to 4 years on and off. Thru my
underground connections with Remy aka Mr 13th and Titio Baez aka LOST,
I was able to meet up with her again and had the blessing to win one of her Monthly competition. I know E.H.M.P is a good program that I’ve seen with my own two eyes help new and returning artist find there place to shine and be successful. I would not be surprised if E.H.M.P is not responsible for putting on a good percentage of underground artist in 2012 and beyond..

E.H.M.P: What is something fans would not know about you and who do you think is your biggest fan/supporter? Who are some of your major influences?

Murdakkh: I don’t think fans know that I eat Oreo cookies 8 times a day, I’m sorry I’m really just a big kid at heart. My biggest fan beside my beautiful wife would be my good friend Joyce. She has always been to all the shows in the last 2 years and I respect that even on nights when she had school the next day. I’m thankful for that really I am. My major influences in music are Damien Jr Gong Marley, Nas, Pusha T, and Coldplay the greatest band on the planet.

E.H.M.P: It was a pleasure. Where can supporters get connected with your music? Who would you like to shout out? And last but not least, what is a quote that motivates you to keep pushing?

Murdakkh: You can check me out on twitter @Murdakkh,
www.facebook.com/murdakkhmusic and www.reverbnation.com/murdakkh for
shows and new songs. I would love to give a shout out to Belize my
country, my label Vicious Productions and my squad BBMKINGS (Building
Better Music). A quote that has always led me down the right road was "Character is Everything"

E.H.M.P. CATCHES UP WITH SKANKS THE RAP MARTYR

Skanks The Rap Martyr

Skanks The Rap Martyr was born on the U.S Virgin Island of St. Croix until the age one, where Skanks then moved to Crown Heights, Brooklyn. During these years Skanks began his passion for the music business. His big brother Goldz was a local DJ and up and coming producer. Growing up Skanks came across artists such as Das Efx, DJ Klark Kent, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and much more working right out of his basement in a studio his brother built. At age of 11, his main obstacle was getting a chance to prove his skills. That would end one day while getting kicked out of the studio as usual, young Skanks dropped his rhyme book. When the older guys read what he wrote, they were more than impressed. The next thing you know,

Young MC Row, which was Skanks first rap name, became one of the main artists working out of the studio. It was during this time that Skanks caught the attention of hip-hop legend MC Lyte. MC Lyte was just starting her Duke Da Moon management at the time with her partners Lin-Q and Makeeba. MC Lyte saw artist Shanks as a good move for the up and coming company, and featured him as the opening act. This opened the opportunity for Shanks to tour with MC Lyte all over the U.S under the name Problem Child, a name given by Flip mode squad’s Rampage after he saw him perform live in N.Y.C at age 13. With a well-appreciated run, due to MC Lyte being a superstar, she was too busy to put her star power behind Skanks and the other artist on the roster. The company split up eventually forcing Skanks to go the indie route starting LaCosa Nostrand and Anarchy Records.

That did not stop Skanks, as he later on got a call from Klark Kent to come up to a studio so he could see how much the Problem Child grew, at the time, which included a session with Columbia Records artist 50 Cent. Skanks and 50 had a little lyrical sparring session that ended with 50 telling him he was nice. If that wasn’t enough to be confident about, Busta Rhymes met Skanks and his LCN co founder Elgee after listening to their CD and said he was a fan of the penmanship. Skanks received regular airplay on New York’s radio station Hot 97 thanks to morning show hosts Star and Buck Wild. Skanks new mix CD Back From The Future is out now featuring the hit single King Of The Streets feat. Reggae superstar Anthony B. Recently Skanks dropped the critically acclaimed Morning Paper feat. Ras Droppa about the issues that are destroying the world and has been getting good feed back from people all over the world.

N.A.B: So tell us, what does Skanks stand for and what is the concept behind the name?

Skanks: Skanks is just a name that stuck with me from my younger days in the hood.

N.A.B: What was it like being in the presence of your brother's studio and the experience of the artist coming in and out of the studio?

Skanks: It was a great experience I learned a lot from them days.

N.A.B: Who are some of the people in your life and other artist that influence your music? Who have you been compared to?

Skanks: My favorite artist that influence me are the under achievers and underdogs that never got that big brake yet like Haz diggz Elgeezus One Click Bang Cash Bilz and my dudes K.Capone, Holy War and Valentine the great (R.I.P) too many to name but not getting that big break kept them hungrier than the average rapper so it kept my sword sharp being around them. I’ve been compared to Red Man before because of my word play and delivery have been compared to Sheek Louch because somebody said I got that don’t give a fuck ice pick music and NAS because I be dropping jewels hidden in that poisoness shit that they love so much.

N.A.B: What was it like performing and touring with MC Lyte and what did you take from that experience as an artist?

Skanks: But as far as MC LYTE she had me opening up for B.I.G, Wu-Tang, M.O.P. and other legends all at the tender age at 13 it built my confidence to rock any where on the planet.

N.A.B: What was it like sparring with 50 Cent and what did you take from that experience?

Skanks: It was a learning experience because even though I won the battle he won the war he went on to blow up and get rich I didn’t I thank him for the experience though.

N.A.B: How did you become acquainted with A.D. The General and the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program? How have you benefited from this platform and what do you like most about the movement?

Skanks: I met A.D. just rocking out at different venues she be every where not just her events. We were supposed to been link up, it took a while but now that I been down with her movement and program I been getting a lot of great exposure press and opportunities. Thanks A.D.

N.A.B: What projects have you done up to now and what projects are you working on for the near future? Up to this date, what would you say has been you biggest accomplishment and your favorite project?

Skanks: I dropped tons of mix CD’S on the streets with my LCN organized rhyme family then in 2008 I dropped my own called "BACK FROM THE FUTURE" then in 2009 I dropped "THE FLOWFESSIONAL" in 2010"THE FLOEFESSIONAL2" 2011"MARTYRMATTIC" and I am dropping "Rest In Peace To The Beats vol.1" In October 2011 I think my biggest accomplishment so far I think was being on Young Jeezy's recession tour with lil boosie and ace hood it really taught me the ropes on how an artist and his entourage are supposed to handle business Jeezy team took care of B.I then moved out as 1 body nobody looking distracted and not serious.

N.A.B: Last but not least, where can the readers go to check out your music, future projects, and to connect with you? Is there anyone or movement you would like to shout out?

Skanks: You can get my single "She’s a Bird" feat. CashBilz on ITUNES now and you can check me out on reverbnation.com and also like my music page on Facebook.com/therapmartyr also hit me up on twitter/therapmartyr and check me out on youtube.com/skanksvideos and shout out my Anarchy/LaCosaNostrand Organized Rhyme Family my Major Moves Family and all my Crime Heights representatives oh and a special shout out to all real Hip Hop supporters like A.D. The General and The Elegant Hoodness.

E.H.M.P CATCHES UP WITH GREP P "THE VOICE"

GREG P “THE VOICE”

Greg P, born in the Bronx, grew up with the goal of always wanting something better in life. Although he had a strong love for music, he didn't focus on pursuing it at the time as in he felt that if he had to do music as a profession he would no longer love it. The notion later changed once he met a young talented musician by the name of Real Right in 2007. With a new sense of inspiration Greg P then started shaping his image, and his hunger & ambition for music increased. With this confidence Greg P began tearing down shows in hundreds of clubs and show cases throughout the 5 boroughs. His buzz began to build rapidly, not just for his own music at this point, but for his unique talent and creativity in bringing the best out of a song and making it a hit. Greg P was given his newer add-on for his name “The Voice" from his peers. Facing many obstacles in his life, music was the only thing that kept Greg together. Greg's intake on music states that "Music is not just what sounds good, but what you go through." "This is what makes you who you are!” In 2009 he later found his place in "The Lane” which is a movement consisting of young artist that have the same ambitions and goals as Greg, which is to strive for something greater, such as greatness and excellence. Where will Greg end up on this road to success? It's up to him, but from what Greg P. "The Voice" has stated, "The Top". In the words of "The Lane", Keep up or get flown by!

N.A.B: For those who do not know, who is Greg P and what separates you from the other artist?

Greg P: I believe what separates me from other or most artists, is them being who they really aren’t. A lot of times artist say they live or do certain things when in all reality they don’t. Music is not a joke; a lot of people listen to music for motivation, a sense of security and many of these related traits. Therefore when you paint them a pretty picture and it doesn’t turn out to be that, you then are considered fake.

N.A.B: Now your latest showcase with the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program R&B/Reggae event at club insomnia you won 1st place, how did that feel and what has come about since then?

Greg P: It definitely felt great. When you’re competing at Elegant Hoodness and you take that number one spot for the night, it’s an overall accomplishment. At Elegant Hoodness you’re competing amongst a lot of talented artist.

N.A.B: Compared to the many showcases’ you have done before, how would you say the Elegant Hoodness showcase compares to the others you have done? Would you refer other fellow artist to participate in future events with Elegant Hoodness?

Greg P: The Elegant Hoodness showcase actually shows an artist there growth from when they started competing and where they need to be once they grow into the artist they want to be. Yes I would refer any artists in need of a buzz and media to participate at the Elegant Hoodness.

N.A.B: What projects are you working on currently? What are your goals as an artist and how do you see yourself obtaining those goals?

Greg P: I’m currently working on my newest mix tape, I need to find another name for r&b project’s besides mix tapes. lol! It’s called “Take a Good Look” volume 1. The name is pretty self-explanatory. My goals as an artist is to grow and help other’s that want to get ahead in music grow as well. I think coming from a city where everyone wants’ the same thing as far as music goes, and that’s to make it as an artist we need to support each other before we want other’s to support our dreams and expectations. And that’s something that has held us back as a whole. I see myself obtaining these goals by staying focused, hungry determined and keeping the right people in my corner.

N.A.B: Who would you say inspires your music and what motivates you to keep striving to be the best artist you can be?

Greg P: Who pretty much inspires my music are the people around me that look to me for guidance and look for me to make things happen for myself.

N.A.B: What inspires the writing process of your music and do you write your own lyrics?

Greg P: What inspires my writing process is everything I go through in my life. Yes I right my own lyrics.

N.A.B: What artist have you worked with and what artist do you want to collab with here in the near future?

Greg P: I’ve worked with my mentor Real Right, Sean flight, Song list, Cann Cann and the list goes on. To answer your question, I don’t really have a set artist to work with. I’m willing to collab with pretty much anyone that wants’ to make and can produce good music.

N.A.B: Just want to say congrats on your success and wish you more to come. Do you have any shout outs? Where and how can fans & supporters connect with you and your music?

Greg P: Thank you, much appreciated and I would like to shout out A.D. The General, Team N.A.N., N.A.B. and The whole Elegant Hoodness movement. Most importantly my whole team the lane: REAL RIGHT,CANN-CANN,SONGLIST,KEV-LIVE Also my fans and supporter’s. They can all check me out at gregpthevoice@facebook.com/ gregpthevoice@reverbnation.com / gregpthevoice@myspace.com also. Thank you for the opportunity to be here. laneeeeeeeeeeeeee!

E.H.M.P KCMO HAS A NEW CHAMP "TATIANO"

TATIANO

Hafa Adai, (Hello) let's go in to the world of Tatiano. With a distintive language and culture, Tatiano breeds soulful music. He than moved to Oklahoma with his family. Being in Oklahoma he has acquainted moreso with r&b which became the foundation of Tatiano. His first single "Can't Let It Go" bought forth great effort and feedback. "I'm all about making relatable soulful music that comes from the heart" is how Tatiano puts it. SpecialGift was blown when I heard it for the first time. As the track lead off it was so soothing and enlightening. Tatiano let his soulful sound go with the flow very much accordingly. As it was of course time to come again, here goes "Game Over". Omgness, dope track its from the heart and soul all the way. Today it's very much hard to find a true r&b artist. Immacuately on point with every tune, this is a rare breed of an artist. Much success will come for Tatiano due to the grace of his artistry. Take a moment with N.A.B. and find out more about Tatiano, his 1st place win at Elegant Hoodness and where he plans to go from here.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Taitano, where did you get that name? Who is Taitano?

TAITANO: I’m from the island of Guam. Taitano is a very popular, very strong last name on the island. My mom’s maiden name is Taitano, she made that my middle name, and I made that my stage name to, in a way, dedicate all my music and any success to my mom since she made me who I am.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Your very first single “Can’t let it go” is an amazing track. Tell us what inspired you to develop this single.

TAITANO: I was in this relationship a few years back that fell apart. I moved on and so did she, but I wondered how I would feel if I was still in love with her and couldn’t get over her. So, I wrote how I would feel in that situation. My feeling would be that “I just can’t let it go.”

SPECIALGIFTNAB: What do you think makes your music different from other r&b artist of this time?

TAITANO: Well, there are a handful of artists that are keeping R&B where it’s been. On the other hand, there are a lot of artists I feel that aren’t keeping R&B where it should be. What makes me different from some of those artists is that I’m trying to keep the love and that soulful feeling in R&B. I want to keep it raw as far as material, and I want R&B music to keep giving people the same goose bumps I used to get with R&B music in the past. That’s my mission.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Will you elaborate on your experience with A.D. the General and Elegant Hoodness Musical Program?

TAITANO: A.D. is a sweetheart. She’s thug, but she’s sweet. lol It was a real honor to meet her. As far as the program, I really enjoyed being a part of the program. It’s funny to me because I didn’t even know we were competing! I just thought we were performing to have a good time and have something positive going on. My adviser really didn't tell me that it was a competition. I really didn't know it was until they started calling out winners, and I happened to take 1st place!

SPECIALGIFTNAB: If you were able to acquaint other artist with Elegant Hoodness, what would you say?

TAITANO: The Elegant Hoodness network gives independent artists like myself an outlet for their music to be heard! My music has been exposed to other regions across the United States that I may not have been able to reach because of the opportunities that they provide. They are very professional and consistent I'm happy that I am affiliated with them, if you are not familiar with them you need to become acquainted.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: I’m sure there’s a lot in the making Taitano, give us a heads up on something you haven’t expressed to your fans as of yet. What do you want your listeners to get out of your music?

TAITANO: First off, I want my fans to know that I’m doing what I do for them. I make music for them to enjoy. There’s no point in entertaining when there’s no one to be entertained by it. Lol I also want to thank them for appreciating my craft and all that. When they listen to my music, they should not only enjoy it, I also want them to relate to it and reminisce. They can even consider some of my music as almost therapeutic in their life.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Soulful is the best way to describe Tatiano’s music. Who has inspired you thus far? Please elaborate.

TAITANO: By far, Michael Jackson inspired me. Even though I would listen to different music, I bought only Michael Jackson music until the end of my 6th grade year. Then I got into Dru Hill which is a big inspiration, Usher, and Ginuwine. Nowadays, I look at what Ne-Yo does as far as a writer, Trey Songz and Chris Brown as far as swag and where they take their music to.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: What should we be expecting of you next?

TAITANO: I’m working on mixtape material, just to give away and let spread as far as I can get my material to spread. I’ll be working on a new album pretty soon. Right now, I’m focusing on getting the name TaitanO and Northwest Arkansas out there, since that’s where I reside. I’m performing a lot as well.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Where can we find more of Taitano?

TAITANO: You can listen and download my music at www.soundcloud.com/taitano as well as www.reverbnation.com/taitano . You can find me on Facebook and like me at www.facebook.com/taitano479 , and you can catch all kinds of TaitanO videos atwww.youtube.com/taitano479 . I need to tell everyone to check out www.shofiya.com as well. Just a little plug. lol

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Anything you would like to leave us with that hasn’t been expressed thus far? Shout Outs? Etc...

TAITANO: I just want to thank everyone for the love and support. It’s never taken for granted. Stay up to date with TaitanO because I have so much more under my sleeve. Get ready! Lol Shout outs: My TaitanO Exec Team (Earl Shine with Feel It All Productions, Amanda Marie, Twin), tEcH and his Verbal Tapestries movement, KB, Koolaide, Drew, Addott Mitch, Tweezy, Mississipi Menace, My mom, dad and the whole Taitano/Sanchez family, my kids because I work my ass off for them, and last but definitely not least: A.D. the General and her Elegant Hoodness movement.

GET ACQUAINTED w/ YOUNG PIFF

204854_202181109816194_100000729192906_619846_4701857_o.jpg

Young Piff

If hip-hop is dead, bury it where it started. That seems to be the mindset from up and coming BX artist Young Piff aka Quest Cali. After winning the 2010 Hot 97 summer jam freestyle battle he demanded the undivided attention of the underground hip hop movement. Already known for battling and destroying rap ciphers at Theodore Roosevelt high school he’s taken his craft to a whole new level. With his second mix tape “Life’s A Bitch But The Pussy’s Good” covering every corner of the boogie down its obvious he’s going to take over the game one borough at a time.

Growing up the only child with a single mother he was forced to become a leader and the man of the house at a young age. Overcoming personal hardships and tragedies now comes as a positive, influencing the concepts in his reality rap. With a wild imagination, witty word play and an exceptional vocabulary Young Piff is set to raise the bar for spitting bars in a game overwhelmed with gimmicks and no thought raps. With his show performance getting better on a daily basis and footwork similar to presidential campaign, its only a matter of the time before the world knows what a few already know…Young Piff Got Next…

N.A.B: How are you doing? So who is Young Piff this year versus when you first started out?

Young Piff: Everything official can’t complain. I feel like now I see the bigger picture where as before I was stuck on like a widescreen format. I’ve always been nice lyrically but just started realizing it has more to do with hard work than talent. I'm trying to apply that logic to my craft now.

N.A.B: Tell the reader’s, what does your music stand for and how do you separate yourself from other artist?
Young Piff: Its just so me. I don’t try to write shit I think people want to hear, I write whatever I’m feeling or thinking. I have a wild imagination and been threw a lot of shit in my life so it adds up to some creative concepts. I feel like I differ from other artist cause I stay in my lane and stay true to myself. What you see is what you get no artificial ingredients.

N.A.B: How have you benefited from your winning in the 2010 Hot 97 summer jam freestyle battle? How did it influence you to grow musically?

Young Piff: The promotion was priceless. First I got to perform in front of a crowd of at least five thousand people which was crazy. Then I had the opportunity to perform at SOBs opening up for CNN. I performed at B.B kings for the Duck Down 15th anniversary concert. I also received a single deal from Duck Down and was able to be in the booth with the legendary Buc Shot. Not to mention all the producers and other significant music personnel I met at those events.

N.A.B: Now you currently performed at the latest Elegant Hoodness Showcase this August, what was the energy like and how have you benefited from such a platform?

Young Piff: It was my second Elegant Hoodness showcase and the energy is also electrifying. There are always so many producers’ video editors and other artist that you can network with, truly a great event.

N.A.B: What do you think about A.D. The General and the whole Elegant Hoodness Musical Program and what they offer?

Young Piff: That’s my homie right there; she always looked out for the kid so vice versa whenever she needs support I’m there. Elegant Hoodness is definitely the move for up and coming artist trying to increase their buzz in this music industry.

N.A.B: Your latest mix tape “Life’s a Bitch but the Pussy Is Good”…what was the concept of that mix tape? Is there a new project in the works? What is next?

Young Piff: The Title is a metaphor even though life could be shitty it could always be worst so be grateful for the good parts. I just finished my latest joint “Most Potent vol 1" which will be downloadable in the middle of September then I’m going to close the year with my next mix tape entitled "The Social Network". It doesn’t stop us working ova here.

N.A.B: Let the reader’s know where they can find more on Young Piff the artist, your mix tapes, events and contact info?

Young Piff: YoungPIff187 facebook twitter youtube sound cloud Google Skype whatever’s on the internet I’m there. I post all my videos show dates and time. So if u wanna rock out with team P.C I’m easy to get to Ya heard.

N.A.B: Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us, wish you continued success. In closing, is there anyone you want to shout out, or give props to?

Young Piff: Thank you the pleasures all mine. Shout out to the whole Team P.C Poppartoz TV Stunna loads A.D. the General and the whole Elegant Hoodness.... BX You feel that...Young PIff Got Next

HAVIC AKA GO HARD GUERILLAS ~ GET ACQUAINTED

photo.JPG
HAVIC

Born in Monroe, La, Marcus M Hogg a.k.a Havic became involved with music in 1994 as a hobby that he enjoyed. Continuing music throughout high school & college he released his first solo CD in 1999 entitled "The Million Dollar Mouthpiece" under Legalized Records. After a short run & poor management he decided to take time off & study music himself. Havic made a plan 3 yrs ago to start his own mix tape line with all his friends that were artist. When people hear the music they were always like “y'all Go Hard” so that's where the name GO HARD GUERILLAS came from. The Go Hard Guerillas were a group of all solo artists that considered themselves a unit. The GO HARD GUERILLAS consist of Andre Dixon (A.D.G), Antonio Dixon (Yoshi), Ahmad Sullivan (Joby Jo), Devarrio Benson (Big Vo), Jarvis Grayson (Jv), Marcus Hogg (Havic), Toya (Archie Caswell). DJ Fletch hosted their latest mix tape "HUSTLER'S HOLIDAY" with a great deal of response, which has been crazy but amazing. Currently Havic and The Go Hard Guerillas are doing shows nearly every weekend. Having performed in Atlanta, scheduled for stops in Miami, Kansas City, Paso Robles in Cali, & Atlanta again. Havic has been an amazing artist making a name for himself and his unit. For bookings or features all contact info is listed.

N.A.B: How would you describe yourself as an artist?

HAVIC: As an artist I have the southern D-Boy vibe. I also have a bounce sound being from Louisiana. All I have ever been around were hustler's and people out the streets. So that's what I talk about. Big Vo Is just a true artist. He can do a wide variety of things as an MC. He has a mainstream sound. He appeals to ladies. Mostly he makes music that will help you make a baby. ADG is an artist who has catchy hooks, punch lines and D-Boy swag as well. Archie Caswell the first lady of go hard is very lyrical ans will make any man rewind a song and say "did she really say that". She is a real curve ball thrown from the label.

N.A.B: What would you say has been the biggest accomplishment to this date?

HAVIC: I got a chance to do a show with UGK back in the day, before Pimp C went to jail. I looked up to UGK being from the south. So we were in the mall chilling, getting ready for the show and kicking it at the hotel. It was something I never thought would happen. I was shopping with Bun B and people recognized him and was asking for his autograph. I would have people ask who are you. I would tell them, they would say you must be someone if you are with Bun B. Can I have your autograph. The club was standing room only when we got there and the fire Marshall came out, told them no one else could get in the club. There were about another 600 people outside waiting to get in. It was crazy but the atmosphere was crunk. That's a show people still talk about to this day. Performing in Atlanta and Miami with Elegant Hoodness is a close second. The love you get and meeting artist from New York, Virginia, South Carolina, Miami, Atlanta, Bahamas and a few other places was crazy.

N.A.B: What would you say you learned from your experience with Legalized Records? From that what would you advise other artist?

HAVIC: I learned that you can never get comfortable. I was young and had a hot song on the radio. I was recognized everywhere I went. Got things for free and had groupies like crazy. I stopping grinding and pushing before you know it all of it was gone. No matter how much success you have I would advise to artist to push just as hard if not harder and get to the money.

N.A.B: How did you come to know ADTHEGENERAL and what did the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program had to offer?

HAVIC: I met A.D. the General on twitter trying to network. A.D. offered us a chance to compete in a showcase in Atlanta. I'm glad I made the trip. I met other artist to network with and was invited to do another showcase in Miami, Fl & Kansas City Mo. Elegant Hoodness gives you the chance to network with others, offers media prizes for promo that can help further your career. I'm glad to be apart of Elegant Hoodness.

N.A.B: What would you tell others about the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program? How did it benefit you?

HAVIC: Elegant Hoodness allows you to talk with Dj,s Magazine Editors, Other Artist from different states. Elegant Hoodness has allowed us to get exposure in different publications and play on some online radio stations. I have met artist in every location I've traveled to that have a relationship with. The program is a good way to push yourself and network with others.

N.A.B: What would you say you have learned about the music industry? Is there anything you would like to change?

HAVIC: The music industry is about being consistent and hard work. No matter what happens or what's going on if this is what you really want there things you have to sacrifice. Doa s many showcases as you can. Go to the music conferences, network with the right people. Build relationships and be about business. Hard work and grinding will pay off. You just have to be patient and ready to travel that road. I wouldn't change much in the area I live in it's hard for Dj's & others to take real artist serious because everyone wants to be a rapper. I feel the industry is flooded with a lot of people who try and be artist and are not. Which makes real artist push just that much harder to be heard.

N.A.B: What projects do you have out or in the works? Where can people get to your music and how can people contact you for booking info?

HAVIC: I have a mix tape Go Hard Girls hosted by A.D. THE GENERAL which consist of hot underground females and a few main stream female artist. Look for it online the first of August. BIG VO a Go Hard artist that has a mix tape called "Pressure" hosted by DJ X-Factor coming out in late September. ADG a Go Hard artist has a mix tape "I do Mee" hosted by 3 feet that will be dropping on Halloween. Jv has a will be releasing the first of the year 2012. GO HARD Guerillas 2 will be releasing in March of 2012. The mix tape line is "Hustler's Holiday" check us out on Dat Piff & a ton of other mix tape sites. All mix tapes will be loaded to our site for you to hear and links for downloads of the mix tape as well.

GET TO KNOW DRE SKUFFS W/ N.A.B.

DRE SKUFFS

Dre Skuffs is an artist that can touch any individual personally with his passionate yet vicious delivery. Writing rhymes since the age of 11, hip-hop became an outlet for Dre to express himself and voice his opinion. Dre Skuffs is nothing less then a hip-hop phenomenon from a town that has a story of its own. You take the offspring of the black renaissance thinkers, hustlers and scholars from all major cities in the tri-state and put them in an area close enough to their original ghetto and you have Willingboro. Heavily influenced by real life, struggle, and hunger this New Jersey MC has the ambition & skills to single handily force his way in the game. Point – blank – period. Some Call him “the voice of the streets” Dre Skuffs is as discipline as one can possibly be.

With his mother being raised in Jamaica, and father growing up in Trenton, NJ He came up seeing two cultures, religion, and more importantly hearing great music. His family moved to Willingboro, NJ. Dre’s greatest achievement was a bachelor’s degree in communications at HBCU Johnson C. Smith University, a beautiful wife and twin sons. Dre Skuffs dropped seven cd’s which most say are all “hood classics”. Dre Skuffs is not only a writer, but he also produces, directs-films-and edits his own videos, & designs his own covers. Skuffs is readying to release his next cd entitled, “Chill Pill” All songs on the album are produced by N-Omega. Recently featured on MSNBC.com, Burlington County Times Newspaper, Philly Burbs, Jahyummy.com, and various Internet radio stations he surely making a mark.

Also C.E.O of Paid in Full Family ENT. Alongside with N-Omega and Newark natives Shean Ford, Jamaal Wilkins, Amir Wooten, Ibn Dinkins this team is established to rain supreme. His unique rap style is a combination of wittiness, blunt yet passionate, vivid and sincere. Dre Skuffs is a legend in the making offering a solid message that is almost unheard in this new age of hip-hop. Dre Skuffs is known as the one with an old soul. The wisdom and substance in his music is almost undefined. Skuffs is already making business happen with Paid in Full Family. The hunger and ambition that he and his team have should be enough to prove that Dre Skuffs and PIFF Entertainment is the next big thing in hip-hop. Lookout for Wooten “iNSOMNIAC” and N-Omega “HAPPY NEW DAY” coming soon.

N.A.B: What influenced you to start making a name for yourself in such a competitive industry?

DRE: Growing up witnessing some of the greatest never make it. I used to sit back and watch there mistakes. At first rap was just a hobby, but there failures influenced me to take my talent to the next level. On top of that I had the talent, and the grind for it. I feel like I have something else to offer in this industry. I have a lane on my own that's risky yet marketable. Therefore I figured making a name for myself was the only option.

N.A.B: Now we see that your degree was a major accomplishment for you along with your wife and twins, what would you say was your biggest accomplishment thus far musically?

DRE: Day by Day I see a strong growth in my downloads and fan-base. More people from not only the U.S. but overseas are starting to be exposed to my music. Not only has my music improved over the years, but my quality and production progressed. Some of my biggest accomplishments recently were due to the ongoing success of my latest cd "Chill Pill" which actually has been opening a lot of doors for me musically since it hit the streets May 17th 2011. Interviews, shows, collabs etc. All have been coming consistently.

N.A.B: How did you come to know A.D. the General and the whole Elegant Hoodness Movement? How have they opened up doors for you?

DRE: I been paying attention to A.D. the General grind over the internet. I watched a few of her videos and really loved what she was doing with hip-hop. I finally reached out to her over facebook, exchanged numbers and we chopped it up. Since than it's been nothing but love. I had a chance to perform for one of her shows and even interviews been set up off the strength of her grind. With me being a jersey artist, Elegant Hoodness definitely opened some doors in the NY area.

N.A.B: What are your views on the state of hip hop right now and what do you hope to bring to the legacy of hip hop?

DRE: As far as the business behind hip-hop… it's whack. The bullshit in hip-hop from a musical perspective doesn't bother me. My only concern with Dre Skuffs is "ME" putting out good music. Hip-Hop will always have a variety and it always did. My problem with Hip-Hop is the rappers in it. Too many followers not enough leaders and trendsetters. Too many biters, not enough originators. Besides that, hip-hop has it's ups and downs but the talent never went away. There's a lane for everybody. The lane I chose I happen to be the only one in it. I hope to bring a new wave to hip-hop. I wanna bring legendary sound back to hip-hop.

N.A.B: Who are some of the people who have helped you get to where you are now?

DRE: God. Besides him… no specific person. I happen to be apart of a team building this from the ground up. No budgets. No investors. This is all from the muscle. We still paying bills and trying to stay sane. We build are own network from scratch and it's still slowly growing. We are all the foundation to my future success. Even ElegantHoodness. All positive adds up.

N.A.B: So you have seven cd’s out and working to release another one, where do you go to get your creative juices going to be consistent in bring forth classic music as it’s said?

DRE: Real Life inspires great music creation for me. Shit aint easy. It's a struggle, and when success comes things still wont be perfect. When life's good or when lifes a bite in the ass… either way I will always have that inspiration to create for the simple fact i'm living. I give it to you raw uncut with my music theres no making it rain or pulling up in bentlys talk cause that aint what it is for me right now. It's easy to make great music when your keeping it 100. I will always put out classic material.

N.A.B: Is there anyone you would like to shout out and where can people connect with you and your music and download these classic mixtapes?

DRE: You can find everything at www.dreskuffs.com follow me @dreskuffs and holla at me on facebook/dreskuffs .. for bookings: paidinfullfam@gmail.com shout out Jahyummy.com , P.I.F.F. ENT., Wooten, N-Omega, all the blogs-promoters-internet radio & dj's i bang with. the whole Jersey movement, and most importantly the Five Finger Union Movement.

GET ACQUAINTED WITH KARDIAK

KardiaK

Remember the 80's when you had rappers like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Krs-One, LL Cool J, Slick Rick and so many others that made you hold your head with their lyrical ability. Well you now have someone who is bringing that back. Self-proclaimed superhero of rap KardiaK born in Queens New York is taken it upon himself to bring back the essence of true Hip Hop music. Then transported to Brooklyn, the Cypress Hills section he attended P.S. 7 & I.S. 171 during which time he still had not begun emceeing. He later went on to attend Murray Bergtraum High School were his passion for hip hop grew. It was not until leaving Murray Bergtraum and attending John V. Lindsay H.S. though, that he discovered his lyrical ability and he began to expose his creative side and his passion for Hip Hop. So with the encouragement of his older brother and his hood, KardiaK decided to pursue his passion for rhyming. Kardiak is out to make the pioneers proud and show everyone what real rap is. The Superhero of rap is here so hold on to your heart because it's Kardiak.

NAB: How are you doing? For those who may not know who is Kardiak?

Kardiak: Kardiak is a quite soul ready to be heard. I'm someone who feels I have something to say and music is the outlet.

NAB: I see that you are putting a big weight on your shoulders, bringing hip-hop to its original Plato. How do you plan to keep your music in the lane of the greats, such as Rakim, Krs-One, and LL Cool J etc?

Kardiak: I plan to display llyrical, witty, ability such as Rakim, Nas, Eminem, Big Pun, and the whole Slaughterhouse. They would be a proper set of mentors to follow.

NAB: I see it took you a while to really come into your own as an artist, what sparked your realization of Hip hop as your passion?

Kardiak: I always loved music an Hip Hop as well. I didn't really think after my very first horrible rhyme I wrote when I was sixteen, it would lead me to want to actually inspire, motivate and entertain people with my music. I didn't know I would be this good.

NAB: How did you hear about the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program, and how have they helped to provide extra exposure for you as an artist?

Kardiak: I heard about the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program from my manager. We built a relationship with A.D. The General. She asked us to be a part of it and we went out and did our thing. Things have been looking great ever since.

NAB: What are some of the perks to being an artist and where do you see your career say a few years from now?

Kardiak: The greatest part about being a artist is doing what you love and getting paid for it. For me its even better cause I'm a fan first, so I get to have an opinion and act on it. If I don't like a certain aspect, I can change it through my music. In a few years I see myself inspiring someone with my music the same way my favorites inspired me.

NAB: What advice would you give other artist from your experiences on trying to create that buzz and acceptance in such a competitive industry?

Kardiak: The best advise I could give anyone that wants to enter a industry like this is we all know everyone and their mom wants to rap. Everyone think they can rap but if you let that get to you, you won't make it. Instead let this one thought keep playing in your head, "there is no competition do you and let everyone know no one can do it better."

NAB: What upcoming projects are you working on as of lately and is there anyone that you would look forward to working with?

Kardiak: I got my first mixtape The Fire Pit coming up followed by my first album Surrounded by my Thoughts. A weekly series coming up called the Kardiak Chronicles and some more suprises but you will find that out later.

NAB: Where can folks connect with your music, yourself and for all booking info? Is there anyone that you would like to shout out?

Kardiak: On twitter at @kardiak84 email my management at Pulsarmusicgroup@gmail.com facebook

At www.facebook.com/MatthewWarford at www.youtube.com/ubigvend on the Audio Manslaughter

mixtape at www.datpiff.com and www.hotnewhiphop.com and check me out at www.pulsarmusic group.com
