E.H.M.P KCMO HAS A NEW CHAMP "TATIANO"

TATIANO

Hafa Adai, (Hello) let's go in to the world of Tatiano. With a distintive language and culture, Tatiano breeds soulful music. He than moved to Oklahoma with his family. Being in Oklahoma he has acquainted moreso with r&b which became the foundation of Tatiano. His first single "Can't Let It Go" bought forth great effort and feedback. "I'm all about making relatable soulful music that comes from the heart" is how Tatiano puts it. SpecialGift was blown when I heard it for the first time. As the track lead off it was so soothing and enlightening. Tatiano let his soulful sound go with the flow very much accordingly. As it was of course time to come again, here goes "Game Over". Omgness, dope track its from the heart and soul all the way. Today it's very much hard to find a true r&b artist. Immacuately on point with every tune, this is a rare breed of an artist. Much success will come for Tatiano due to the grace of his artistry. Take a moment with N.A.B. and find out more about Tatiano, his 1st place win at Elegant Hoodness and where he plans to go from here.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Taitano, where did you get that name? Who is Taitano?

TAITANO: I’m from the island of Guam. Taitano is a very popular, very strong last name on the island. My mom’s maiden name is Taitano, she made that my middle name, and I made that my stage name to, in a way, dedicate all my music and any success to my mom since she made me who I am.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Your very first single “Can’t let it go” is an amazing track. Tell us what inspired you to develop this single.

TAITANO: I was in this relationship a few years back that fell apart. I moved on and so did she, but I wondered how I would feel if I was still in love with her and couldn’t get over her. So, I wrote how I would feel in that situation. My feeling would be that “I just can’t let it go.”

SPECIALGIFTNAB: What do you think makes your music different from other r&b artist of this time?

TAITANO: Well, there are a handful of artists that are keeping R&B where it’s been. On the other hand, there are a lot of artists I feel that aren’t keeping R&B where it should be. What makes me different from some of those artists is that I’m trying to keep the love and that soulful feeling in R&B. I want to keep it raw as far as material, and I want R&B music to keep giving people the same goose bumps I used to get with R&B music in the past. That’s my mission.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Will you elaborate on your experience with A.D. the General and Elegant Hoodness Musical Program?

TAITANO: A.D. is a sweetheart. She’s thug, but she’s sweet. lol It was a real honor to meet her. As far as the program, I really enjoyed being a part of the program. It’s funny to me because I didn’t even know we were competing! I just thought we were performing to have a good time and have something positive going on. My adviser really didn't tell me that it was a competition. I really didn't know it was until they started calling out winners, and I happened to take 1st place!

SPECIALGIFTNAB: If you were able to acquaint other artist with Elegant Hoodness, what would you say?

TAITANO: The Elegant Hoodness network gives independent artists like myself an outlet for their music to be heard! My music has been exposed to other regions across the United States that I may not have been able to reach because of the opportunities that they provide. They are very professional and consistent I'm happy that I am affiliated with them, if you are not familiar with them you need to become acquainted.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: I’m sure there’s a lot in the making Taitano, give us a heads up on something you haven’t expressed to your fans as of yet. What do you want your listeners to get out of your music?

TAITANO: First off, I want my fans to know that I’m doing what I do for them. I make music for them to enjoy. There’s no point in entertaining when there’s no one to be entertained by it. Lol I also want to thank them for appreciating my craft and all that. When they listen to my music, they should not only enjoy it, I also want them to relate to it and reminisce. They can even consider some of my music as almost therapeutic in their life.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Soulful is the best way to describe Tatiano’s music. Who has inspired you thus far? Please elaborate.

TAITANO: By far, Michael Jackson inspired me. Even though I would listen to different music, I bought only Michael Jackson music until the end of my 6th grade year. Then I got into Dru Hill which is a big inspiration, Usher, and Ginuwine. Nowadays, I look at what Ne-Yo does as far as a writer, Trey Songz and Chris Brown as far as swag and where they take their music to.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: What should we be expecting of you next?

TAITANO: I’m working on mixtape material, just to give away and let spread as far as I can get my material to spread. I’ll be working on a new album pretty soon. Right now, I’m focusing on getting the name TaitanO and Northwest Arkansas out there, since that’s where I reside. I’m performing a lot as well.

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Where can we find more of Taitano?

TAITANO: You can listen and download my music at www.soundcloud.com/taitano as well as www.reverbnation.com/taitano . You can find me on Facebook and like me at www.facebook.com/taitano479 , and you can catch all kinds of TaitanO videos atwww.youtube.com/taitano479 . I need to tell everyone to check out www.shofiya.com as well. Just a little plug. lol

SPECIALGIFTNAB: Anything you would like to leave us with that hasn’t been expressed thus far? Shout Outs? Etc...

TAITANO: I just want to thank everyone for the love and support. It’s never taken for granted. Stay up to date with TaitanO because I have so much more under my sleeve. Get ready! Lol Shout outs: My TaitanO Exec Team (Earl Shine with Feel It All Productions, Amanda Marie, Twin), tEcH and his Verbal Tapestries movement, KB, Koolaide, Drew, Addott Mitch, Tweezy, Mississipi Menace, My mom, dad and the whole Taitano/Sanchez family, my kids because I work my ass off for them, and last but definitely not least: A.D. the General and her Elegant Hoodness movement.

ELEGANT HOODNESS KC MISSOURI REVIEW

April 30, 2011 was the day history was made in Kansas City, MO. The Elegant Hoodness Musical Program came, saw, and conquered. Missouri is known as the "Show Me " State and EHMP defiantly showed Missouri what it was all about. From the time the doors opened at Balanca's Pyro Room til the time the club shut down, it was never a dull moment as N.A.B, Team NAN, and EHMP displayed a true love and passion for the art form known as Hip Hop.

Opening the show was none other than "Ms. Smack A Bitch" herself, Ms. FeFe. Her performance was so raw and authentic. This was like her welcome home performance being that she does hail from the 816...she def put on one hell of a show, setting the bar high and showing all the new comers of Elegant Hoodness how its supposed to be done when its your time to bless the stage. GO HARD or GO HOME! FeFe was home so going hard was the only option for her, and that, she did. A.D. the General was right behind her, performing banger after banger and also rocking solo, something that people rarely get to see being that she is in a group. But minus her partner in rhyme, Gifted, she still came through with her A+ game for the new found family of EHMP. N.A.B defiantly showed out. The crowd was going insane!

The lights dim...camera's flash...the crowd is so thick...so amped....so ready....the competition begins. Competitor after competitor, they all brought something different to the stage, but the one's that really caught the attention of the audience and the judges were a fresh new group from Kansas City that goes by Criminal Intent. Three young brothers representing the town to the fullest. Their stage presence was so energized and animated. And their music was on point! "Drink Til We Throw Up" was defiantly a song people could relate to that night. Another group that blazed the stage drove 16 hours from their hometown to come rock out for Missouri and the rest of the world. Hailing from Buffalo, NY, the More Than Music camp P. Prop, Mitchell J, and Money Mitch gave a dynamic performance with unforgettable lyrics and swag to match. They had the crowd going with their smash hit "Reflections (Fuck You Haters)". The entire audience had a middle finger in the air, showing that they could ultimately relate to the song and the feelings that were reflected in it. It was for sure an unforgettable moment in EHMP history. The youngest person in the club came through and smashed it and her mother was there with open arms, supporting her all the way. Shout out to Bizzy! She stood with the best of them, and stood out from the rest of them. She showed great confidence and didn't let the vets or crowd intimidate her performance. She rocked out and represented for the young ladies! She made Kansas City proud. Going home with the gold was home town native, MKD. Looking at him on stage, you could tell what he came to do. He came to win, and that, he did. His swag was on cloud 9 but his demeanor was so humble. He really made it look easy when he graced the stage with his presence. He had stadium music and lyrics to match. One of his songs, "Make it Look Easy" was so powerful. The beat was insane and his swag reminded me of a young T.I., very confident but respectful. He got the job done.

The night was full of great performers. Team NAN KCMO did not disappoint. Rico Ricardo, Santina, and G-Child went hard for the town. Watcha Saay Records/Camp 400/Yo Vega Ink defiantly get my stamp of approval when it comes to rocking the crowd. The love was in the air. Flowrese The Songbyrd showed why she earned the title "The Songbyrd" in the first place. Her vocals are phenomenal. R&B needs someone like her right now. Every song she performed was on point. Look out for her world. She is not to be slept on.

It was a straight family affair that night in Kansas City. So many different states, styles, and faces were in the building and it was nothing but love. Elegant Hoodness always brings that family reunion vibe to every event that is showcased by them. Even the Kansas City legend himself, Tech N9ne came through and represented. It was a real good look. Never ceasing to amaze me, Elegant Hoodness always sets out and conquers any obstacle placed in its path. EHMP did something for Kansas City that they will always remember. Trust me, the next one will be bigger and better than the last. Kansas City, check! Next stop, ATL! Here we come!

TRUE SUN ALI ~ THE TRUTH ~ GET ACQUAINTED!!

TRUE SUN ALI

When it comes to music it's considered the artist personal style! You can tell a lot about an artist by his lyrics, even the beats can give you a vibe of the artist style. TRUE SUN ALI is no different his style is reflected in his three recent tracks. The amazing part is the originality, no two songs sound alike! He’s a talented find that makes music raise the bar on talent!

Just listen to the track "FEEL SO GOOD" this track has that old school vibe, but with the hype nature of today's times. The lyrics just flow off the tongue easy to understand and follow. "T.I.N.A(LOYALTY)" the beat will grab you first taking you over as the words washing the mind with inspiration, and thoughts about the way things are done. The next track that caught my attention was "A Second Beginning". Everyone can relate to this song! Anyone who has ever needed a second chance, or just simply change the way things are done. The beat will have you bobbing your head while your ears are open! The music is beyond worth a listen you can engulf yourself with music of the streets! You can take the rhythm of his very soul that is wrapped in the beats of lyrical genius, making music real again!

GET TO KNOW "DOEBOY" Bowie the Rapper

DOEBOY

If you wanted to describe Brandon "Doeboy" Bowie the rapper, you would need a couple of words to describe him. Whether it's his slick lyrics, raspy voice, or his cool, calm, and collect manner, once you hear Doeboy, you know instantly, this man is different. With the rap game changing in so many ways, most fans are growing tired of the same old recipe, of fantastic beats and elementary rhymes and hooks. Doeboy's music is versatile, original, creative, and can make everyone in your house, from the oldest to youngest, want to dance, sing along, or bop their head.
Doeboy did not always want to be a rapper. Growing up in Lefrak City, Queens for 8 years, then later on moving to East Elmhurst, he had dreams of playing professional basketball. That all changed in his second year of high school at St. John's Preparatory School in Queens. There in the lunch room of 70 hungry high school kids, he found his love for rap. With fellow classmates beating on the tables making beats, Doeboy began to freestyle. After receiving a huge fan base at school, Doeboy decided to pursue a rap career. He then linked up with Mysto, of "Mysto & Pizzi", and began to record at his in-house studio. Mysto & Pizzi have produced tracks for the likes of R. Kelly, Cassie, Kelly Rowland, Nina Sky, and many others. Here with Mysto, Doeboy would learn the ins and out's of songwriting and also discover his own niche in the Hip-Hop Industry as well. Since those high school days, Doeboy has grown as an artist, song writer, and as a person. From the street hit "Y.A.K", club friendly "Shake It Baby", down to his conscience side "Dreams", he shows and proves, he is no one trick pony.
Doeboy has built quite a resume for an up and coming rapper. Doeboy has snagged numerous spots on mix tapes, for some of the top rated DJs in the business, such as, DJ Envy, DJ Whiteowl, DJ Finesse, DJ Scope, DJ Hitts, NY C.E.O, and so many others. Doeboy has performed at numerous clubs, showcases, and venues within the tri-state area, such as theElegant Hoodness Musical Program, as well as out of town. He has also caught the ears of many A&Rs from major labels hoping for a meeting. Doeboy has put out two mix tapes so far, “Soon To Be Famous” Part 1 & 2, and currently finishing up his third effort "FATBOY OF THE BLOK". His lead single "Replay" produced by GM Productions, has received nothing but positive feedback and recognition. With this new project, Doeboy is now ready to start looking for a major record deal. With his personality, charm, and new songs off his next project, the task should not be too hard at all. As Doeboy would say, "Holla Wit A Dolla! YAK!"

ELEGANT HOODNESS 3RD PLACE WINNER ~ CAMAY ~ GET ACQUAINTED

CAMAY

14 years ago Ghostface Killah dreamed up the ultimate wife. Classy yet street, intelligent, fun and beautiful. There was no way of knowing the hip hop world would have a chance to meet her. Yet here she is; Camay.
At the age of nine, Camay decided she wanted to rap. What was the sudden inspiration? A song entitled ‘One Love’ by a then 20 year old Queens native rapper called Nas. Raised in the church, her mother shielded Camay and her siblings from secular music. So her peek into the rap world came via borrowed mix tapes from her older brother’s friends, and watching MTV while her parents workeBoldd. “It was funny,” She recalls. ”As a baby my mother would sit me in front of music videos to keep me busy. Then she found God and snatched mine away.”
That didn’t stop young Camay from developing an ever growing romance with hip hop. She honed her skills while growing up bouncing around from between New York and California after her parent’s divorce. New York City, Brooklyn to be exact, is the place where she really came into her own as an artist. Living in San Antonio, TX, however, introduced Camay to a whole new music type, and taught her to be versatile.
Stage performances were next on the list of things to perfect. Camay, along with a group called HottStixx Productions out of San Antonio, opened up for headlining acts that were hot at the time. Mystikal and South Park Mexican were some of the many.
Camay has written for, worked and recorded with many names in the industry, and continues to make moves in the hip hop scene. In 2007 Camay performed at NYC’s Hot97 Summer Jam Festival pre show. That was also the year of her debut solo mix tape effort ‘A Drug Dealer’s Dream’ which sold impressive numbers online. She also performed at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program, impressing the crowd and judges and taking third place.
After the passing of a close friend in 2008 Camay took a break from the hip hop scene to re-evaluate her life and goals. But her love for the music was too overwhelming to let her stay away. Now with a new year, Camay is gearing up for the release of her new EP, "Revolutionaire", which features true to the lifestyle hip hop infused with rock.
Camay lives to perform and loves traveling to do so. Her gritty vocals and street savvy will keep you looking for more.

GET TO KNOW BUSDOWN ~ AS HE'S MOVING ON UP IN HIS CAREER

BUSDOWN

The Sky is the Limit! That’s what we've always been told all my life and witnessing Berto “BusDown” James go in on the microphone; I’m a firm believer that he’ll attest to the same belief. Brooklyn bred, Brownsville fed, New York native BUSDOWN has been blessing the streets with his poetic descriptions of life, love, pain, lust, greed, grind, and hustle. He takes you on a journey through the mind of an evil genius. He gives you intellect and mind blowing concepts, along with the rough, hard core street mentality of your average thug.

Growing up for BusDown has not always been so easy. Influenced mostly by the streets and his fellow peers, Bus found it easier to be your local ghetto celebrity than your daily role model, so he turned to selling drugs and gang life. Getting caught up with the law, in and out of jail, and getting into beef was a part of BusDown’s daily routine. Once a thug, always a thug, right? Not in the mind of this solider.

N.A.B – You’re from Brownsville/East New York, Brooklyn? A lot of your music focuses on today’s social conscious issues. Where do you find the inspiration for your sound?

BUSDOWN - It comes from the heart. Thing’s I see in the streets. I’m not going to give the world a phony Busdown (there is no phony Busdown). I’m going to give straight facts about my life.

N.A.B - SKYZ DA LIMIT is the movement. We see you have ventured out as a solo artist. How do you differentiate yourself from your group? What makes you stand out as a solo artist?

BUSDOWN - I’ve always been a solo artist. It really isn’t a group that’s the label. We are all solo artist. I give my swag, my energy. I’m not saying my team doesn’t do it. There really is no difference. Skyz Da Limit has also recently joined Team N.A.N in 2010.

N.A.B - Is the track “ROLL UP/BRETHE” your official single? If it’s not then, why is that? That track is fire. Do you have a title & a release date for your album?

BUSDOWN - It is the 1st single. A lot of folk embraced that track. The track was created in 5 minutes. Black Pea produced that joint for me. It was crack without effort. I had a lot of emotions that night in the studio. I typically write all my lyrics on paper, but that night it came from the heart.

N.A.B – Let’s talk about some of your ventures, producers and collaborations.

BUSDOWN - Besides SKYZ DA LIMIT, I have collaborated with Caviler (R.I.P), BERTO JAMES (my alter ego), BERTO JAMES is the person, the exterior and BUSDOWN is the soul. GQ BEATS has produced for MAINO, UNCLE MURDER, etc. BANGER has produced for 50 CENT & many more. The track “This Ain’t Rap” was actually supposed to be the remix track for “In My Hood” but 50 didn’t use it and I got lucky. (pick up “The Top 10 Artist of the Year Mix tape” hosted by Team N.A.N), I’ve been featured on BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS DVD, NANTV, ROYALTY MAG and now HHH MAGAZINE. I have loads of collabo’s in the near future.

N.A.B – We know 09 had everybody in a rut. 2010 has come with change & a new beginning. What are your goals to ensure your prosperity in the New Year?

BUSDOWN – I'm going to keep doing what I have been doing, making it hotter. I’m not allowing anybody to stand in my way of achieving my dreams. Like BEANS said “I’M NOT THE CAPTAIN OF THE YACHT BUT I’M ON THE BOAT”. I’m a humble dude. It’s not about being the best rapper; As long as I touch some hearts I’m good. At the end of the day my goal is to be me. You’ll never hear busdown talking about being in a Maybach. I’ve been in a Maybach once. I’m not biting my tongue for any man. We need something positive for our communities. I enjoy painting pictures for my people & I will continue to be busdown. For these rappers out here, if you’re not enjoying what you’re doing and your just doing it for a check. Then you need to cut it out. Stop wasting people’s time and putting out that bullshit.

N.A.B - Any last words & or shout outs?

BUSDOWN - Shout out to my momma, my father, my sister and my entire family. The entire SKYZ DA LIMIT Camp, WYO, all the homie's lock down & all the rappers in the struggle. Don’t give up. Big up to A.D THE GENERAL & GIFTED-N.A.N/N.A.B my peoples 4 life. All love my nicca’s. All my NY nicca’s; even the suckers. Much Love to you. Just stay away from me. It’s your boy BUSDOWN signing out. Scream at me. www.myspace.com/busdownmusic & www.youtube.com/busdown1

Logan never let his unique physique stop him from sharing his talent with the world. Growing up on Logan Street in East New York with five siblings, his singing career began in church as a soloist and later on with the choir. Logan wrote his first song called "Why Did You Leave Me’’ in the fifth grade for a talent show which wowed his teachers and fellow peers because of his strong vocals and commanding stage presence. Logan continued to sing in church but by the age of eleven his songs and poetry began to focus on girls.
