E.H.M.P.:  Break down the meaning of your name?

INTL B:  International Blizz is a name. I gave myself that name because of how I handle life. I'm always the same person no matter where I'm at and whether the situation is good or bad, I'm going to be me!

E.H.M.P.:  How did you get associated with A.D. The General , The Elegant Hoodness Musical Program and would you recommend its services to other artists?

INTL B: I met A.D. on facebook but been to a couple of her showcases with my label mates, One Click Bang and its always been a great showcase and experience for up and coming artist so yes I would recommend her services to another artist.

E.H.M.P.: You have a strong stage performance. How important is your stage performance?

INTL B: My stage performance is everything to me it gives the people more of a insight and understanding on who I am.

E.H.M.P.: What do you and your movement brings to the table to the game?

INTL B: Well what me and my I.N.B family will bring to the table is the story of a section in Brooklyn that has been slept on since rest in peace the o.g half-a-mill....crownheights Albany projects but most of all we are bringing you the truth no faking.

N.A.B.: What's shaking Mottz. It's been a minute since we last sat down. How's things been with you?

MOTTZ: Everything is going well. I'm working on the "KingsBorough Project 2" and working on all sorts of ventures. From shooting videos and also trying to direct my own stuff. Besides that, just humble and focused on progression.

N.A.B.: Great to hear! Once upon a time you didn't feel your confidence and lyrical skills were up to par. Now that, that has changed, talk about it. Go on to where you are in your career presently? Elaborate.

MOTTZ: Man my confidence is threw the roof now. I've become more open with my talents. Not being afraid of criticism has given me comfort. That is going to be there for a while. Besides making music, I've been working hard trying to keep a positive mind. Gaining experience in my life to make the music I'm giving the people, more convincing.

N.A.B: Is "Homecoming 3" featuring Jay Spitz, the last single you put out? What are you working on now? What can we look forward too?

MOTTZ: Just more heat and visuals "Home Coming 3" is my first and only official video. I'm trying to give the people more of a visual of me personally, instead of constantly hearing my voice. So, they can also see the rapper as well. 

N.A.B.: During our last interview we spoke on your mix tape debut, for "The Kingsborough Project." You also stated "I'm building up my catalogue to the point were I can flood the streets." Were are you at now with building your catalogue? You recently performed at Elegant Hoodness, is that rite? Any radio stations supporting your music? If so which ones and how did that come about?

MOTTZ: I'm almost done with my second mix tape. Now I'm on to videos and making more material. The album should be coming around in the fall. After just doing features and just taking everything slow and as it comes. Performing at Elegant Hoodness is always a blessing for me to show my talent. A.D. The General always show me love. I don't know about the radio stations playing my music. Gemz (Fresh Friday's) & Ms.. FeFe N.A.B. (On Deck Thurs & Rockin w/ N.A.B.) hold me down, when I call up. So, that's a blessing and I'm honored by that.

N.A.B.: Take this time to elaborate on something we haven't discussed.

MOTTZ: You pretty much covered all basis. There's a lot of unsigned talent out here. I'm not saying I'm the best, but I'm one of those rappers they need to pay attention to. I'm what the music industry is missing and if I get chance, I would take full advantage of it! That's a Superfact!!!!!!

N.A.B.: How can we stay in tune with your lyrical skills? Are you on the social networks? YOUTUBE, Reverb, etc?

MOTTZ: I'm everywhere I think, LOL. I'm on Datpiff, Soundcloud and Reverbnation. My views off that "Home Coming 3" is doing some crazy numbers, like 94k on YOUTUBE. That's like my biggest accomplishment. So, I'm more motivated on doing videos and performing now.

THE COME UP WITH JAY SPITZ

N.A.B.: Open this interview by taking us through a day in Spitz world. From the time you wake up, to the start of your next day.

SPITZ: A day for Spitz most likely consists of me at work. I work truck driver hours, but I'm not a truck driver, LOL. Yes, I do have a job! Spitz is not the so-called drug dealer rapper that all these other rappers claim to be! And, I make damn good money! Now, if I'm not working; I just wake up, eat breakfast, check the social network sites (Facebook, Instagram, etc..) and talk to my business partner/brother SL Jonez. I do a little promo if I feel it's needed and then get on the PS3. I'm an addicted gamer! If there's HMB (the label) work to be done, I'll load up the camera, computers and get to work. Or head to wherever the business is. When the late hours come around, I wind down with a drink and engage in grown folks activities, LOL.
  
N.A.B.: Are you managed by anyone? Or do you handle all your affairs? Any team players?

SPITZ : I'm not personally managed, being that I'm not sure with my direction, as of yet. Let me elaborate. I'm not positive that I actually want to be an artist anymore. I also have the boyshorts that I design (HMB ORIGINALS), which I'm beginning the promotional stages with again. I'm also contemplating going deeper into photography and videography. Along with being Chief Operations Officer of HMB Entertainment, I have a lot of careful decisions to make within the next year or two. We do have the lovely @kyashilah who does promotion for us, and informs us on opportunities.

N.A.B.: Where would you say you're now in your career in comparison with where you want to be? Elaborate some.

SPITZ: I'm at a crossroad in my career and the roads are many. I'm focusing on making the right decision on which road to take. I don't want to obligate myself to something that will overwhelm me and disappoint my teammates. I have no expectations with a career in this industry, being that I'm already established in general. Yes, one can always strive for MORE! So in my case that would be a bonus and I still work hard to achieve that bonus. At the end of the day knowing where I came from, to where I am today. I'm proud of myself and my family is proud of me. I can die today knowing I've accomplished everything I've set out for. My new goal is to help my teammates and those under me to be successful and established men and women. It's no longer about me, so I'll put no expectations on personal advancement in life career wise.

N.A.B: What have you released in the last 90 day? What are you presently working on?

SPITZ: No new music (songs) within the last 90 days. I'm focusing on the visuals. Mottz Gigante and I, opened up for Freeway, Feb 25th at Elegant Hoodness at Club Pyramid. So, I'm incorporating that performance into the next video, which will be The Future by Mottz Gigante featuring myself. I'm editing that as we speak. After that, I'm going straight to promoting the HMB Originals Boyshorts to get you ladies ready for the summer. As far as musical material, I'll throw out a song here and there, but not much. Its the visual side I'm working on at this moment.

N.A.B.: You recently opened for Freeway in NYC at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program. Elaborate on that experience.

SPITZ: I f*cks with A.D. The General and Team N.A.N & N.A.B. so I always look to see what they have coming up.This event has perfect competitions, that's okay for those looking for approval. We already know, we are elite! So, I'm not fond of my artist or myself being "judged", but without a fan base, we still need to be seen and heard. To be on the same card as Freeway was a great opportunity. Maybe we can reel in some of his supporters and fans. It was wonderful! Mottz and I put it down of course, but all artists did a great job. Freeway ended the show perfectly. I thank A.D. for contacting me about it and and there WILL be more to come!

N.A.B.: I hear your music spinning at a few stations. Whose been showing you love, on that note? How was your experience at these stations?

SPITZ: G3mz and Ms Fefe of Team N.A.N. and N.A.B have definitely showed us love. I'd get the tweets showing that they played one of our songs and be like "oh shit!!" Lol...Big shoutout to them for that love....we haven't sent much out lately because we're revamping our material but VERY SOON I'm personally going to flood DTF radio and OnTheRise Radio with bangers from HMB. And other stations as well.

N.A.B.: I noticed your views on youtube is up there and rising. Have you noticed?

SPITZ: Yes, I have. I thank @kyashilah for her hand in that. Her promo on the video, I'm A Hustler (Mr. Brite) and Homecoming 3 (Mottz Gigante and I) was sick. I also show people the video's personally, and the team also promotes the videos. They see the progression and video quality difference, from then til now, and the response is great!!!

N.A.B.: You are a very laid back kind of fella. What do you like to do in your spare time. Any other hobbies?

SPITZ: Play PS3, FredRuger is the tag and the game of choice is NBA 2K13. Or travel to my 2nd home in, North Carolina. I'm down there every 3 to 4 months. That's where my family is, I love it out there. Other than that, I'm all business. If  I'm not doing my bill paying work, I'm doing HMB work!

N.A.B.: When did you debut as an artist? 

MAD FIRE: 8/2011

N.A.B.: What brought you to wanting to express yourself through music?

MAD FIRE: I actually had a friend who rapped in high school by the name of Marc. He was pretty dope, so it became a competition to me.

N.A.B.: Where are you now in your career in comparison to a year ago?

MAD FIRE: Have a bigger social media fan base. A lot more stage presence in which others acknowledge, and a lot more resources, vehicles, and social media outlets/resources that we're using to expose our music.

N.A.B.: What has been you major highlights within your career, thus far?

MAD FIRE:  A few showcases and opening up for Philadelphia Freeway, at Elegant Hoodness Musical Program.

N.A.B.: Tell us about you appearance in Philadelphia, New York at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program? Would you suggest to other artist and producers to be apart of this program?

MAD FIRE:  I like the whole setup, it was ran effectively. The fact that there was a notarized celebrity helps with the media outlets.

N.A.B.: Talk about your latest projects?

MAD FIRE:  Mad Fire Mix tape, is our first project with just the two members, "C.Roc" and "Pyro". The debut project consisted of an extra member, "Leo the Lion".

N.A.B.: What are you working on now?

MAD FIRE:  We are currently working on our next mix tape, Mad Fire Mixtape II.

N.A.B.: If you could collaborate with someone, who would it be?

MAD FIRE: For the Group, I'd like us to collab with the likes of an Outkast.

VINCE PRICE SIT'S DOWN WITH N.A.B.

 

 

N.A.B.: For those who aren't familiar with who Vince Price is, please elaborate.

VINCE: I have had a passion for singing since I was in the 7th grade. I used to sneak and go listen to all of Marvin Gaye's music after my mom put me and my sisters to bed. My dad, known as Eargasmic-Vince, was a Blues singer that had a band. My mother is an Evangelist, who had me at every church choir rehearsal.

N.A.B.: Where are you from? 

VINCE: I was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and later as a child moved with my family to Memphis, Tennessee. 

N.A.B.: In reading your bio, I noticed you were an athlete before a musician. What sport and what brought forth the change? 

 

VINCE: I played basketball. I can hoop a little bit. Just my interest in music, I've always had a passion for it.

N.A.B.: Lets talk music. What have you released in the last 3 months? 

VINCE: Really I was pretty busy on the production side, producing and helping other artists with their careers. Until I met the guys from 3Live Entertainment, who took an interest in me. My music career was taking a back seat, but after linking up with 3Live Entertainment they helped me realize, it's time to go full speed ahead with my own brand. They could introduce my "unique" singing style to the masses.

N.A.B.: Who have you produced for and in hopes to in the future?

VINCE: I have produced songs for local Memphis artists, and Koopsta Knicca formerly with Three Six Mafia. I hope to one day be able to produce tracks for Trey Songs, R. Kelly, and Ryan Leslie.

N.A.B.: Do you travel and perform your artistry? If so, where?

VINCE: I have performed in Dallas, TX; Killeen, TX; Memphis, TN; Little Rock, AR and Miami, FL.

N.A.B.: Take this time to express something about yourself that we haven't discussed.

VINCE: I work with, the Emmy Award winning, Vision Power Media, which is a video production company based out of Memphis, TN and Savannah, GA.Vision Power Media is known for donating to numerous charities such as St. Jude Children's Hospital, Susan G. Komen foundation, and many others across the region.

RON TERI Talks Queens, RunDmc n more

RON TERI (KILL ZONE ENT)

E.H.M.P.: Why Kil Zone ent? What does it mean?

                 

RON TERI: Kilzone Ent was chosen as a name by my manager Jamie Kilkenny when we started working as an entertainment group together.  Most people want to relate it to violence of some sort, though it’s really just a representation of his last name.

E.H.M.P.: How was your experience at Elegant Hoodness Musical Program?

RON TERI: It was a great experience and very memorable. Being able to perform on the same stage on Run DMC and Mr. Cheeks of Lost Boyz is something that not many people can add to their list of accomplishments.  Of course they are icons to many people, myself included, trying to make it in this business.  Exposure to a new audience is always something we strive for in any show, therefore the opportunity to do so at this event was great.

E.H.M.P.: You are a musician. How did you get into playing the drums? And do you play any other instruments?

RON TERI: Growing up I was exposed to all different genres of music the biggest two being rock and hip-hop. My mother and father both loved classic rock so I was listening to bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, etc.  As I grew older I started listening to more rock. The first band I got really attached to was System of a Down.  Thanks to my sister and my brother in law/manager I was able to go to many concerts at a young age, SOAD being one. Soon enough my dad took me out and bought me a full drum kit, guitar, bass, keyboard, and microphones. We set it all up in my basement and he told me to learn them all. I would sit in the basement for most of my day and teach myself every instrument. I started getting more involved with playing and formed a couple of bands. For about 5 years I was in 3 different hardcore bands. I quit my last band and just became a fan of the music for a while..

E.H.M.P.: Who are some of your inspirations?

RON TERI: My cousins, my sisters and their friends listened to hip-hop such as DMX, Wu-Tang, Biggie, Onyx, Lost Boyz, etc. Both rock and hip hop caught my interest but my favorite artists growing up were DMX and Eminem.

GET ACQUAINTED WITH TYLER A.

N.A.B.: Start off by telling us a little about yourself. Where you are from, etc..?

TYLER A: Well, my actual name is Aaron Erdman. I grew up in a small suburb town called, Holbrook on Long Island. I live with my mother and my brother. My father died when I was 14 years old. I am currently attending college at State University of New York, located in Oswego. As a kid, which I still am because I am only 18, but as a kid baseball was my passion. It switched over to rapping January of last year. But, I am only 18 years old and I have a long road ahead in music and life in general.

N.A.B.: I noticed you just started rapping this year. What brought this about and elaborate on your influences.

TYLER A.: I fell into deep depression because I missed my father very much. I had severe anxiety, and I lost my baseball opportunities because of my elbow. A guy by the name of John Petroski otherwise known as John Jay, in my rap group “The Dream Team”, was rapping for 2 years. I used to write poetry as a kid, I decided to give it a try and it was fun. Four months I was doing this for fun than my mom’s friend Fran whose daughter I dated for like five years on and off told me about her friend, G Strong. So being the go-getter type of kid, I am, I decided to hit him up on Facebook. It is all about social networking these days. We spoke and he said when your mix tape comes out I want to hear it. I said fine. I sent him it. After that I kept writing my freestyles while he gave me pointers. He finally gave me a talk and said I think you need that big record. So he suggested I write a song about when my father passed away. That was in October. It was called One Last Time and it came out wonderful. For the last two months, I've been grinding and just doing all I could to get out there.

N.A.B.: Tell us about that moment you experienced writing and recording your first track.

TYLER A.: My first track I wrote and recorded was called "Please Say A Command." It was my first rhyme ever and it came out in January of last year. It felt good but it did not get a good reception. But I don’t even count that because that was back when I didn't know what I was doing. I was just fooling around. My first real record I consider to be “One Last Time,” the song about my dad passing away. It was magical to record. The guy at the studio made references comparing me to Eminem which was a real honor. I enjoyed writing it because everything just flowed so well. I never got stuck because I knew exactly what I wanted to say. The video for this song is coming out on Father’s day, of this year.

N.A.B.: Where are you now in career in comparison to early on last year?

TYLER A.: Well the beginning of my career was just writing and never recording. Then I made the mix tape “Chasing Fame” which I will get into later but it was all remixes basically. Now I’m making big records working with big people and performing at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program showcases, opening for Maino and DMC. And seeing DMC, Mr.Cheeks, and Fred The Godson get awards. It is a real blessing to see how far I've gotten, when I wrote my first rhyme a little over a year ago today.

N.A.B.: You have performed at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program. Tell us about that experience. How did you become familiar and what can you gain with them? 

TYLER A.: Well I learned about the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program through G Strong. He said there is no better showcases and even though I performed my only two shows with Elegant Hoodness, I can honestly say that is true. Stars are in the building. I get so much exposure. It is a real hip hop atmosphere and there is nothing more I can ask for. A.D. The General just runs the showcase beautifully and the people by her side are awesome also.

N.A.B.: Elaborate on your mix tape "Chasing Fame." The making and the turnout, how was it?

TYLER A.: Well, Chasing Fame was back when I was only rhyming a few short months. It was all remixes basically and looking back at it, the mix tape sucked. I got a lot of hate for it. People told me it sucked, but I didn't give up. I never gave up in my life. Even with baseball when I first sucked, I kept going and was college recruited. That mix tape just gave me something to show people and without it, I wouldn't be here because the mistakes I made on that mix tape only made me better. The E.P “The White Walls” I did with my boy John Jay came out awesome, so much better. So, I’m still early in my music career, I got so many more years to grind and so much more to learn. But overall "Chasin Fame" was not the best, but it got it’s views and people learned what I did. I’ve improved and people message me on FaceBook apologizing saying I should have never said you couldn't do it. You are an awesome rapper now and my favorite because I've seen you develop. It was an experience that made my career stronger.

N.A.B.: What's next for you?

TYLER A.: Well I have two singles "One Last Time" and "It’s My Turn." And I performed my first two shows at the E.H.M.P. I’m going back to school on the 27^th. I am definitely going to keep recording tracks and making new songs. I got plenty of songs coming out. I got the It’s My Turn music video coming out soon ft. G Strong. One Last Time video is coming out on father’s day this year. I want to make sure all 8,000 kids at my school know who I am and what I do. I’m going to start promoting like no other. I will be doing shows when I come home hopefully with the E.H.M.P. I’m just going to keep grinding and doing my thing and hopefully someone sees and I get to live out my dream.

N.A.B.: Anything you would like to express at this time, that we haven't? Close out with shout outs and where we can stay acquainted with you.

TYLER A.: I would like to take this time to thank all my supporters and my haters for making me a better person and rapper. I’d like to thank my mother and my brother for always supporting me.
